The Best Months to Visit

#1: January (outside school holidays)

By far the quietest and most affordable month. Queue times for attractions such as Ratatouille: The Adventure or Frozen Ever After drop to just 10–20 minutes — queues that would cost you 90 minutes on a summer’s day. Tickets are available at the lowest Mini rate. The only downsides are shorter opening hours and some attractions undergoing seasonal maintenance.

#2: September (first three weeks)

The summer holidays are over, schools are back, and the weather is still lovely (18–24°C). The Halloween season has just begun, bringing beautiful decorations and special shows — without the autumn half-term crowds. A truly perfect combination.

#3: First half of November

A wonderfully calm window falls between the autumn half-term and the Christmas season. Christmas decorations are already partially in place, the October crowds have gone, and prices are low. It’s an ideal time to soak up the festive magic without the busy December atmosphere.

When Should You Definitely Avoid Going?

July and August are the busiest weeks of the year. All of Europe is on holiday at the same time, and queue times of 90–120 minutes are perfectly normal. Unless you’re tied to the summer break (due to school schedules), it’s well worth considering a different season.

Weekdays vs. Weekends

Regardless of the season, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are always quieter than Friday through Monday. Planning a midweek visit also tends to mean lower ticket prices — a win on both counts.
