The History of the Mine

According to the legends of Thunder Mesa, the mountain was discovered by gold prospectors in the late 19th century. A mysterious curse, however, hung over the mountain. The indigenous people had long warned of the mighty Thunderbird that guarded these lands. When the greedy prospectors dug too deep, they stirred the great bird’s fury — triggering a catastrophic earthquake. Today, the abandoned mine trains hurtle along the crumbling tracks entirely on their own!
