Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is a wonderful destination for families with young children — but visiting with a toddler or baby calls for a very different approach than with older kids. With the right preparation, even the youngest guests can have a truly unforgettable day.

Ages and Height Requirements

Attraction Minimum Height Suitable for Toddlers?
It’s a Small World None Ideal — a calm and gentle boat ride
Dumbo the Flying Elephant None A firm favourite with little ones
Frozen Ever After None Small drop at the end
Peter Pan’s Flight None Magical and peaceful
Autopia 81 cm (with adult) Children can steer themselves
Big Thunder Mountain 102 cm Not suitable for toddlers
Hyperspace Mountain 120 cm For older children only

Rider Switch: Enjoying the Park Together

At attractions with height restrictions, Disneyland Paris offers a Rider Switch service. Parent A rides the attraction whilst Parent B waits with the toddler. Afterwards, Parent B can enter directly through the FastPass queue — no need to queue again. Simply ask a Cast Member at the attraction entrance.

Facilities for Babies and Toddlers

  • Baby Care Centres — spacious, well-equipped rooms with changing tables, microwaves and comfortable seating. In Disneyland Park, you’ll find one near Plaza Gardens on Main Street.
  • Bringing your own pushchair — absolutely permitted. Pushchair parking areas are available at attraction entrances.
  • Pushchair hire — available at the park entrances.

Best Attractions for Toddlers (Ages 2–5)

  • It’s a Small World — a gentle boat ride that captivates almost every child.
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant — toddlers can control their own elephant, going up and down. The smiles are absolutely priceless.
  • Peter Pan’s Flight — soaring above London, visually beautiful and wonderfully serene.
  • Rencontre Royale with Anna & Elsa — a character meet in World of Frozen; a real highlight for any Frozen fan.
  • Mickey & Friends character meet — always a hit with little ones.

Practical Tips

  • Arrive early — toddlers are at their best in the morning. Aim to do your key attractions within the first two hours.
  • Build in rest time — a nap or quiet stroll after lunch is essential for little ones.
  • Bring your own snacks — allowed in the park. Prices on-site are high and toddlers can be wonderfully particular about what they eat.
  • Write your phone number on your child — a wristband or small sticker with your number is a reassuring precaution in a busy park.

Free Entry for Under-3s

Children under the age of 3 enter Disneyland Paris completely free of charge — no ticket required for either park.

Frequently Asked Questions

From what age will children enjoy Disneyland Paris?
A real awareness of the magic tends to begin around the age of 3. That said, the atmosphere and character encounters can leave a lasting impression on babies and very young toddlers too.
Can I bring a pushchair into the park?
Yes. Pushchair parking areas are available at attraction entrances. You’ll be asked to fold it before boarding a ride.
