Crush’s Coaster Disneyland Paris: Complete Guide & Queue Strategy (2026)

Disneyland Paris

Crush’s Coaster is one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland Paris — and well known for its lengthy queues. In this complete guide, you’ll discover what to expect, who the ride is suitable for, and (more importantly) how to beat those long wait times with a smart strategy.

What is Crush’s Coaster?

Crush’s Coaster is a spinning roller coaster dark ride based on the Pixar film Finding Nemo. You climb aboard a four-person turtle shell and join Crush as he rides the East Australian Current (the EAC).

What makes it special: the vehicles spin freely on their axis, so you never quite know which direction you’ll be facing. Most of the ride takes place in the dark, surrounded by vivid projections and beloved characters from the film.

The attraction opened in 2007 and features an outdoor section with a few solid curves and a swift backwards launch, followed by a long, enchanting indoor dark ride section.

Where is Crush’s Coaster located?

You’ll find Crush’s Coaster in the Worlds of Pixar themed area, inside the second park: Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park).

It’s within easy walking distance of other Pixar attractions such as Ratatouille and the Toy Story rides — making it straightforward to plan your route if you’d like to take in several attractions in this area.

Who is it suitable for? (height requirement and intensity)

Crush’s Coaster has a minimum height requirement of 1.07 metres. Children who haven’t quite reached that height are unfortunately unable to ride.

In terms of intensity, the attraction sits in the middle ground: it’s not an extreme thrill coaster, but the combination of spinning, darkness, and the unexpected backwards launch makes it a touch more intense than many guests anticipate.

Prone to motion sickness? It’s worth bearing in mind that the spinning can cause nausea for some visitors. For most guests, though, it’s an absolute delight.

The notorious queue — and how to beat it

Crush’s Coaster has a relatively low capacity and enormous popularity. The result: wait times of 60 to sometimes 120 minutes are not uncommon, particularly during summer and school holidays.

Fortunately, there are three tried-and-tested ways to get around the queue:

  • Single Rider: the golden tip. If you’re happy to ride alone, you’ll fill empty seats in the shells. You can often be on the ride within 10–20 minutes, even when the standard queue shows 90 minutes. Bear in mind you’re not guaranteed to sit next to your companions.
  • Early or late in the day: Head there as soon as the park opens (or during Extra Magic Time), or in the final hour before closing. These are typically the quietest times.
  • Premier Access: For a fee, you may be able to skip the queue. Check the official app on the day of your visit for availability and the current price.

Our tip: combine Single Rider with a visit just after opening. This way, you can sometimes ride twice before the real crowds build up.

Practical tips for your ride

  • Keep loose items secure or tuck them away safely — the spinning motion means belongings can easily slip from your hands.
  • Check the wait time in the app before joining the queue; it can vary considerably throughout the day.
  • Travelling with young children who are just below the height requirement? Make use of Rider Switch so both parents get a chance to ride.
  • Prefer not to use Single Rider but still want a short wait? Make this the very first attraction of your day.

Frequently asked questions

Does Crush’s Coaster go upside down?

No, the attraction has no loops. You will go unexpectedly backwards and spin around, but you’ll never be turned upside down.

Is there a Single Rider queue?

Yes — and it’s by far the smartest way to keep your wait short. Follow the signs to the Single Rider entrance.

How long does the ride last?

The ride itself lasts around two minutes, with a long dark ride section that makes it feel even longer.
