What is Disney Cascade of Lights?

Disney Cascade of Lights premiered on 29th March 2026, coinciding with the grand opening of Disney Adventure World. This captivating show unfolds nightly on and around Adventure Bay, the expansive lake nestled in the heart of this brand-new park. Designed as a truly immersive 360° experience, the show is built around the water, meaning that wherever you choose to stand along the shore, you’ll have a direct view of the magic.

A total of 379 drones take to the skies and waters: 279 soar above the lake, while an additional 100 operate directly on the water – making it the world’s very first underwater drone system. You’ll also be treated to enormous water screens showcasing beloved Disney characters, including Mulan, Moana, and figures from Coco and The Little Mermaid, all beautifully supported by choreographed fountains, vibrant projections, and spectacular fireworks. The entire show revolves around one inspiring theme: everyone can be a hero. This powerful message is woven into the original song “We Can Be Heroes,” recorded in the iconic Abbey Road Studios, and complemented by familiar Disney music from films such as Hercules and Zootopia.

When and How Long Does the Show Last?

Disney Cascade of Lights plays every evening and is timed to coincide with Disney Adventure World’s closing time; once the final performance concludes, the park closes. The exact start time will therefore vary by season and day. We recommend checking the official Disneyland Paris app on the morning of your visit for the most up-to-date showtime. The show itself runs for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

Where’s the Best Place to Watch?

As Disney Cascade of Lights is a 360° show, there isn’t truly a “wrong” place to stand. Every position around Adventure Bay offers a complete view of the mesmerising drones, water screens, and fireworks. However, there are a few options to consider for your family’s perfect viewing experience:

• Free along the shore: Take a leisurely stroll around Adventure Bay and choose a spot that feels right for you. Arrive 25 to 30 minutes before the show for a comfortable viewing position; on busier days (such as around Halloween or Christmas), it’s wise to allow 40 to 45 minutes.
• Regal View Restaurant & Lounge: Book a dining experience that extends until the show begins, and you’ll enjoy a guaranteed view from the terrace overlooking Adventure Way — home to Disneyland Paris’s very first bar.
• Reserved Viewing Zone: For an additional charge (around €24-29 per person), you can book your own designated spot with an unobstructed view, either via the official website or app. Availability is limited, so be sure to book in advance, especially during peak seasons.
• Accessible Viewing Zone: Guests with a Priority Access Card (for visitors with disabilities) can access a designated accessible viewing area with up to two accompanying guests.

Disney Cascade of Lights or Disney Tales of Magic: What’s the Difference?

In 2026, Disneyland Paris proudly presents two magnificent evening shows, and it’s helpful to understand the distinction between them. Disney Tales of Magic unfolds at Sleeping Beauty Castle and along Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park: this is a projection show featuring fireworks, lasting approximately 20 minutes (without drones since 1st April 2026). Disney Cascade of Lights, as we’ve explored, takes place on Adventure Bay in Disney Adventure World, showcasing drones, water screens, fountains, and fireworks, for around 20 to 25 minutes. Both shows are included with admission to their respective parks. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you could theoretically experience both shows on the same evening, provided their timings do not overlap – always check the app for the most accurate schedule.

Practical Tips for Your Family

Adventure Bay is located at the far end of Disney Adventure World. From the park entrance, you’ll walk through World Premiere Plaza and Adventure Way, passing directly through World of Frozen, to reach the lake – allow approximately 10 minutes for this pleasant stroll. In the event of rain or thunderstorms, the show may be adjusted or even cancelled; always check the app, and rest assured that reserved viewing spots will be refunded in such circumstances. For little ones: the fireworks and loud music can be startling, so ear defenders might be a good idea – however, the show’s content is joyful and not at all scary. Hoping to capture some magical photos? Use burst mode for the drones, a slightly longer shutter speed for the water screens, and keep your flash off – it won’t reach the lake and can disturb other guests.
